Slovosled vašej anglickej oznamovacej vety bude správny, ak bude podľa skratky SVOMPT.

SVOMPT: stands for/ znamená

S – subject, V – verb, O – object, M – manner, P – place, T – time.

S – podmet (Kto?/Čo?)

V – sloveso (Čo robí?)

O – predmet (na/pre/z/s … koho/čoho/kým/čím/kom/čom?…

M – spôsob (Ako?)

P – miesto (Kde?)

T – čas (Kedy?)

Word order in English is extremely important.  

Slovosled je v angličtine veľmi dôležitý.

Only by the place of a noun in a sentence you can distinguish a subject from an object.

Jedine podľa miesta vo vete dokážete rozlíšiť, či podstatné meno je podmetom alebo predmetom.

(SK: Mama varí obed. / Obed varí mama. EN: My Mum is making lunch.)

Confusing the subject with the object can quite change the meaning of the sentence and hence your thoughts.

Zamieňanie podmetu s predmetom môže dosť podstatne zmeniť význam vety a tým i vašich myšlienok.

It could cause a variety of ambiguities and complications when communicating.

Chybný slovosled môže spôsobiť množstvo nejasností a skomplikovať komunikáciu.

For this reason non-native speakers should fix the English word order by heart and use it automatically in oral and written communication.

Z toho dôvodu by sa cudzinci mali naspamäť naučiť, aký je slovosled anglickej vety a používať ho automaticky či už v ústnej alebo písomnej komunikácii.
